Want to organize a block party bash, invite your friends and neighbors, get to know those living near you, and host a shindig that will strengthen your community? Apply for a Block Party Mini-grant!
A block party is a great way to make new friends, reconnect with old friends, encourage neighborhood camaraderie, and increase community awareness and safety. Games, activities, music, arts and crafts, and BBQs are encouraged, but be creative: Choose games and activities that bring people together, team adults up with youth, and are scalable for younger children.
Plan an event that creates a positive experience and helps even a few families get to know one another!
